Q: What's the most amazing thing that's ever happened to you on the island of Hawaii?
A: Every day that I get to live and breathe on the island is an amazing experience. It's hard to narrow it down to one experience because everyday I’m so grateful for being on this magical island. Just a couple days ago I swam with a pod of dolphins at the local black sand beach, which was absolutely incredible.
Q: What is the most peculiar or esoterically themed retreat you've ever heard of?
A: There is a retreat focused on establishing and manifesting extraterrestrial contact that occurs near Joshua Tree each year. That sounds fascinating!
Q: What are three things about the location of your retreat that might surprise people?
A: That it is a very isolated location along the most beautiful coastline.
There are coqui frogs that sing at night, which people think are birds.
There are no street lights and night skies are amazing.
Q: Why are retreats a good idea?
A: Retreats are like a big spiritual reset button. Retreats give us time and space to truly breathe. When we take time out from our daily routine we have the opportunity to find spectacular clarity and analyze our lives and options more objectively.
Q: What do you mean by "source?"
A: Source is that which unifies all of us. It is that from which we originate. It is that which sustains us. It is that which uplifts us. I am Source. You are Source. Most of all, Source is Love. We all see, feel, and understand Source from a different perspective, which is as it should be, since Source is without limits. We often feel disconnected from Source as we experience life here. Our retreat is about rediscovering our total connection to Source in our own unique way.
Q: What do you mean by "tuning in?"
A: Tuning-in means directing our awareness to Source energy that surrounds us and is within us. Since we all experience Source in our own ways, we will partake in a variety of practices at our retreat – including yoga, meditations in nature, sacred circle, connected journaling, intuitive movement, etc.
Q: What are some of the epiphanies one might have – or benefits one might accrue – from having attended your retreat?
A: My co-facilitator for this retreat is Toby Gant, and our intention is to lovingly hold space for each individual and the collective group in a way that provides a sense of absolute safety and freedom to release pain and stress, heal from wounds, and embrace the power that we all have access to. More than anything, this retreat is about Love. Nothing is more important. We will find new Love for self, Love for our beautiful group of co-creators, and Love for all of creation.
Q: What are among the most favorite retreats you've personally attended?
A: "Living the Path of Love" with Cass Phelps, which was a meditative movement-based practice, where we focused on diving within ourselves and allowing the healing movement begin to unwind the stresses of our body and mind.
